Words Can HelpChildren, dear children, when life makes you frown,
To memory commit these words I write down.
Vent with words on paper rather than blade to skin.
Scars will not help but may remind of what has been.
With the tear of flesh, scarlet blood welling,
Ignoring the sounds of your silent yelling.
You don't see how words will find a solution
And to your life bring change, a revolution.
Words are like a light to help you see
The path you'd miss in the dark normally.
Blades won't take away the anger and sorrow,
Lingering visibly forever and tomorrow.
Words on paper can open your eyes,
Finding the answer to calm your cries.
